" 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. "
This past weekend we celebrated a very special event, Fitzgerald, our very first grandchild/nephew was baptized. He wore the exact same gown that my mother wore, along with all four of my siblings and I. The gown was handmaid buy my Granny (who is Fitz's Great, Great, Grandmother, making the dress 60 years old! How amazing is that! Along with all of us wearing it, after each Baptism our initials and the dates we were baptized we embroidered onto the ribbon of the dress making it even more special. We are so blessed to have a tradition like this, a piece of history that we can pass down and use for years to come.
"And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.’ "
